So, there are some precautions you should take, even when doing just the simple manoeuvre of parking your vehicle.
The first one being, to try and park in an area of the car park that isn’t already crammed with vehicles. For example, try and avoid parking in a space in between two cars and one that gives you a lot more space to manoeuvre. The second one being that you should always try and be more vigilant than fast. Make sure you ensure to always take your time, and stop being impatient – or you’re bound to have a little bump and cause a scratch, on either your own car or even worse, somebody elses.

Keep it in a garage
I understand that this isn’t possible for absolutely everybody to keep their vehicle garage, but if it is then make the most of it! Keeping your car safe in a closed environment is something you can use to your absolutely advantage for preventing your car from scratching, so make sure to abuse this privilege and never leave it parked out on the street!

Decrease its exposure to weather
Of course, the weather is something we all wish we could control but nobody ever will. But there are ways to prevent the damage it can have on your vehicle and its appearance. Hail and fallen tree branches are something we can never prevent; however, you can prevent the damage they cause by keeping your vehicle covered when it is parked and not in use.
