Alloy Wheel Powder Coating

Alloy Wheel Powder Coating

New look, New colour, low cost.. New Wheels

Powder Coating your Wheels involves a process that begins by taking your Wheels back to their original aluminum. This process begins with a chemical strip of all paint and powders (we don’t use a burn off oven like other companies as this destabilizes the structure of the aluminium – therefor weakening the wheel and making it more susceptible to cracks and buckles). From hereon we remove any damage, shot blast the entire wheel to remove corrosion and to give the surface a key (a surface that the coating will hold onto). We then Powder Coat the wheel in your colour of choice (we can mix any particular colour on site or choose from a selection of our most popular powders) and then apply either a matt, satin or gloss powder lacquer to finish the process. This is the final coat which will offer not only a very high gloss finish but also offers a durable coating that is warranted for 12 months.

The advantages of having a Powder Coating

Powder coatings emit zero or near zero volatile organic compounds. (VOC’s)

Powder coatings can produce much thicker coatings than conventional liquid coatings without running or sagging.

Powder coating overspray can be recycled and thus it’s possible to achieve nearly 100% use of the materials.

Powder coat production lines produce less hazardous waste than conventional liquid lines.

Powder coated items generally have fewer appearance differences between horizontally and vertically coated surfaces than liquid coated items, this makes powder coating an ideal process for Alloy Wheel Repair.

A wide range of effects can be produced which is near impossible using other coating processes.
