[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]The Project Customs team recently headed to Elvington Airfield to take part in the much-loved Ten of the Best runway race event.

The weekend was a chance for Craig and the team to give his recently-completed Porsche 911 Turbo a proper shakedown, following some serious performance upgrades.

Craig has been working closely with Unicorn Developments to significantly increase the power on tap, whilst still maintaining the driveability and comfort that the car boasts from factory.

The result is a dyno-proven 820bhp and 738lb ft of torque, thanks to SRM EFR7163 turbochargers, billet intercoolers, 1000cc fuel injectors and a raft of breathing mods, all tied together with bespoke ECU and TCU software developed by Rick at Unicorn Developments.

Ten of the Best offers various competitions on Elvington Airfield’s vast runway across the weekend, with Craig setting his sights on the ¼-mile sprint.

With countless flawless runs over the two days, Craig’s best official result was a time of 10.26 seconds at 140mph – a fine figure in itself that’s made all the more impressive by the fact that, according to Dragy, there was a near-3 tenths-of-a-second discrepancy in the timing gear, meaning the actual result could well have fallen into the 9-second category.

With the car arriving and leaving the circuit in reliable comfort and style, the results are a great starting point for Craig to continue fettling, with the team already planning on heading back to the runway soon for some on-the-ground tuning.

Some of the competition on the day included everything from heavily modified Japanese saloon cars, complete with parachutes, through to a Hayabusa-powered Piaggio pick-up truck and everything in-between.

Stay tuned to hear how Craig gets on at future events with his Porsche.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_gallery type=”image_grid” images=”1721,1716,1708,1692,1696,1723,1727,1693,1737,1706,1701,1732,1705,1726,1729,1702,1699,1731,1710,1717,1719,1695,1739,1694,1700,1718,1730,1711,1735,1740,1712,1691,1725,1713,1736,1703,1697,1722,1724,1734,1714,1720,1728,1698″ img_size=”300×200″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
